The municipality of Vera has set a goal: to have its Holy Week declared of national tourist interest. The president of the Diputacion, Javier A. Garcia, accompanied by the mayor, Alfonso Garcia, councilors and the provincial deputy Ana Lourdes Ramirez, have toured the temples and houses brotherhoods where the images of the five brotherhoods that enhance the Holy Week of the municipality.
The president of Diputación has been proud of the work done by the Brotherhoods of Vera and the City Council to raise and promote in the rest of the country a Holy Week with “as much majesty as personality”. In this sense, he has assured that “Vera works in team so that its Holy Week is of National Tourist Interest. Today I have verified the illusion and delivery of the brotherhoods of the municipality. They will achieve their goal thanks to brothers who fill their brotherhoods with life throughout the year and a mayor and a city council involved in making it possible”.
Similarly, he has put in value that the Brotherhoods of Vera have managed to combine the enthusiasm of youth and the experience of the most veterans. “We are facing a very dynamic brotherhoods that have made the Passion and the spirit of Holy Week is alive during the 12 months of the year”.
The mayor of Vera, Alfonso García, wanted to express his gratitude to the president of the Provincial Council of Almería, Javier Aureliano García, for his visit, as well as for the great support and affection that the provincial institution always shows to the brotherhoods and brotherhoods of the municipality.

Visit to each of the Brotherhoods
The tour began at the Church of Our Lady of the Incarnation, where he met with the Parish Priest, Jesus Martin, and the Elder Brother of the Youth and Children Brotherhood of Our Lady of Forgiveness and Jesus of Hope, Diego Molina, who has moved the tradition of a Brotherhood whose members are all under 25 years.
Subsequently, the institutional delegation has moved to the Casa Hermandad de Real y Venerable Hermandad de San Juan Evangelista, Santísimo Cristo de la Misericordia y María Santísima de Gracia y Esperanza, where they have enjoyed the three steps and the president has signed in the book of honor of the Brotherhood invited by his elder brother, Fernando Segura.

In the Hermitage of San Antón, the Mayordomía de San Antón – Cristo Cautivo y María Santísima de la Pureza, known as the Brotherhood of the Gypsies, has received the visit of the President of Diputación with great satisfaction.
